Hash Generator
MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 for text or files of any size, and a check against an expected checksum. Runs in your browser.
A hash is a short fingerprint of data: change one byte and it changes completely. Publishers list hashes next to downloads (ISOs, installers, firmware) so you can confirm the file you got is the file they released, not a corrupted or tampered copy. Paste their value in "Expected hash" to compare. Prefer SHA-256; MD5 and SHA-1 are broken for security purposes and are only here to check older published checksums.
Hashed in your browser. Your text and files are never uploaded to tclient.com.
This page runs on your device (WebAssembly) and reads files straight from your disk in 1 MB pieces, so even multi-gigabyte files work without being uploaded or loaded into memory at once. To confirm, open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab and hash a file: no request is made.
