HTML Entity Encode / Decode
Escape text for HTML (& < > quotes) or every non-ASCII character as named or numeric entities, and decode them back. Runs in your browser.
In HTML, < starts a tag and & starts a character reference, so text that contains them has to be written as < and & or the browser will read it as markup. That's the difference between showing a code sample and running someone's injected script. Encoding only the special characters is all a UTF-8 page needs; encoding every non-ASCII character too (é as é or é) is for email templates, old CMSs and systems that mangle UTF-8.
Encoded and decoded in your browser. Nothing is sent to tclient.com.
This page runs on your device (WebAssembly). To check, open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab and convert something: no request is made.
