UUID / GUID Generator
Generate up to 1,000 version 4 or time-ordered version 7 UUIDs in any format, and decode a UUID's version, time and AD objectGUID forms.
A UUID (or GUID, Microsoft's name for it) is a 128-bit identifier that can be created anywhere without a central registry and still be unique. Version 4 is fully random. Version 7 starts with the creation time, so new IDs sort after old ones: database indexes stay compact and you can tell when a record was made. The decoder shows what's inside any UUID, including the byte order Active Directory and .NET use for objectGUID, which is why the same GUID looks different in ADSI Edit, LDAP filters and PowerShell.
